The Viola symbolizes humility and modesty. There are more than 500 species, these flowers range can range in both size and color. It is often said that there is a Viola for any mood! They can be found in pink, black, orange, blue, yellow, and white, these blooms are a very common sight in many gardens. The purple Viola is often associated as expressing nostalgia, it’s frequently gifted to those who have known & loved each other for years.
Each original drawing starts with a sketch in my sketchbook, then each piece of paper is hand torn to form the perfect size for each drawing. To add a little extra fun to each piece, small pools of watercolor are added to the paper forming fun shapes that are unique to each art work. The sketches are then transferred and hand drawn in graphite creating a series of unique drawings that are similar but each have their own individual personality.
