Freshly Picked Summer Collection

Collection leaves mid September 2026. Pick these blooms while they last.

The Hydrangea flower’s name originates from the greek meaning “hydros” and “jar” due to it’s large round shape reminscent of a water jug. The symbolism varies with color and culture but often, are seen as emboding gratitude, grace, heartfelt emotions, and understanding. With over 75 difference species, most hydranges are native to Asia. They were first cultivated in Japan, where fossil evidence dates them back to the 40-65 million years. The vibrant blooms became a prominent part of Japan’s gardens such as Meigestuin Temple. In the south, they bust to life during our summer rainy season from June to July, much like they do in Japan.

The freshly picked collection joyfully celebrates the vibrant life blooming around us with the changing seasons. Featuring bright florals and fruits, alongside earthy fungi and ferns, this series captures the essence of the season and the cherished memories it brings. Each illustration, like a fleeting moment, is available only during its specific blooming period, symbolizing the transient beauty of nature.

Each Original drawing begins its life as a quick sketch by Erica in her sketchbook. Each sheet is individually torn rather than cut, to preserve the originality of each page. To add a touch of whimsy, small pools of watercolor are added on the paper in shapes that compliment the specific flower. The sketches are then transferred and hand drawn in graphite, creating a series of original drawings that are similar but each have their own individual personality.
