The Water Lily flower is July's designated Birth Flower. Also known as the "Lotus" this flower can be found at home in ponds. Used not only for their beauty, these flowers can also be used to help deter the growth of algae in ponds. The water lily most often represents a pure, open heart. This can be related to the way that the flower opens so effortlessly among the lily pads.
Each original drawing starts with a sketch in my sketchbook, then each piece of paper is hand torn to form the perfect size for each drawing. To add a little extra fun to each piece, small pools of watercolor are added to the paper forming fun shapes that are unique to each art work. The sketches are then transferred and hand drawn in graphite creating a series of unique drawings that are similar but each have their own individual personality.
**Please note that due to the handmade quality of this product, size, color, and drawing can differ from piece to piece. Each paper is approximately between 5x7" but the exact size will differ.
